The exhibition will feature nine new paintings both on canvas and wood panels as well as two prints made in 1992. The title, WHAT THE …? is an unpretentious, instantly exposed expression reflecting Kearns’ ambiguity in relation to the ongoing virus, labeled pandemic.
As with many artists, he has endured economic, psychological, and emotional pressureswhile making art during this period of time. Regardless of this condition, he recognizes his pain as being shared by other artists feeling trapped in similar predicaments.
